%X Eucalyptus cultivation is gaining increasing prominence in the national market; due to this, it is increasingly necessary to study the behavior of species of the genus Eucalyptus spp. under conditions of thermal and water stress. One tool for this is remote sensing, especially spectroradiometry. Using the CRA (Relative Water Content) and eight Vegetation Indices, this study was carried out to estimate the water content of Eucalyptus leaves at the experimental site of the Cooperative Program on Tolerance of Clonal Eucalyptus to Thermal Water Stresses in Piracicaba - SP, in the Areão Experimental Farm. With the calculation of CRA the result was that the clone with the highest value was E. urophylla X E. tereticornes, above 86%. Through a Simple Linear Correlation analysis, at 5% significance and discriminant analysis, it was obtained that only the E. dunnii clone correlated with six of the eight vegetation indexes used and CRA; Moreover, after performing the T-test with 28 crosses, 15 pairs of clones were also differentiated in relation to their CRA. The best index to be used is the MSI (Mouinsture Stress Index). However, many studies regarding anatomy and leaf architecture should be performed to understand these behaviors.
